Mondriaan
Pieter Cornelis (Piet) Mondrian (Amersfoort, March 7, 1872 - New York, February 1, 1944) was a Dutch painter and art theorist, and spent a large part of his life abroad where he lived and worked. Mondrian is widely seen as a pioneer of abstract and non-figurative art. Especially his later geometric-abstract work, with the characteristic horizontal and vertical black lines and primary colors, is world famous and serves as inspiration for many architects and designers of applied art. He was one of the major contributors of the magazine De Stijl and developed his own theory of art, which he called Neoplasticism. Outside of The Netherlands he is better known as Mondrian, a Frenchification of his surname.

Stay in a luxury suite in a historic building, namely Museum Suites. Housed in an 19th century mansion, it has four spacious suites, each with its own character and atmosphere.
Given the historical connection of the house and the Rijksmuseum are all suites reflect a different Dutch artist.
Museum Suites is located in the Museum Quarter, the cultural heart of Amsterdam. Just a stone's throw away from the Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum. In the immediate vicinity you will also find the Concert Hall, the beautiful Vondelpark and great and luxurious shopping streets.
The suites have combined 19th-century architecture with modern luxury and comfort. The interior is based on the works of four great Dutch painters, Rembrandt, Vermeer, van Gogh and Mondriaan.
Breakfast is served in the lounge. On request we serve breakfast in your suite. However, you can also enjoy your breakfast in one of the many grand cafes nearby or in the park.
All suites are equipped with high-quality beds and a fully equipped bathroom with floor heating. Each suite has a separate sitting area and a desk with a wireless Internet connection. If necessary, you can borrow a laptop. In each suite there is a mini-bar, Nespresso machine, flat screen TV with DVD player and USB connection.
As there a number of stairs to climb, the suites are not suitable for wheelchairs.

Cancellation- and additional conditions Museum Suites
Your credit card details are required to guarantee your booking up to your arrival at the hotel. Payment will be made exclusively to the hotel. If you cannot take up your booking, you need to cancel no later than 14 days before your date of arrival. Please take into account that the date of arrival starts at 0.00 am (CET.). Bookings cancelled between 14 and 7 days before arrival will be billed at a cost equivalent to 50% of the total booking. In you cancel or change you booking after 7 days or less, or in case of no-show, the total price of the booking will be charged. A different cancellation policy may apply for group bookings. The hotel will contact you within 24 hrs if this is the case.
