Mini-cruise Wetterfreule
The Estate allocates a stable named "Stal fan Klinze". In this classic stable you’ll find the traditional Frysian horses and some antique coaches, which are available for the hotel guests.
You can also enjoy a mini-cruise on our boat “Wetterfreule”. We will show you the northern part of the famous “Elfstedentocht”, to discover the Fysian lakes.
This unique boat is especially designed to sail along the waterways which are not available for most boats. The route leads trough small villages and under low bridges. The boat was build in 2000 under the name ‘Streksum’. In 2005 Landgoed De Klinze is the new owner of the boat and offers its guests with a nice boattrip along the Frisian countryside. An employee of the hotel came up with the name ‘Wetterfreule’ because Freule Beardt –Van Sminia lived in the Estate for centuries. ‘Wetter’ is Frisian for water.
The boat looks like the canal boats in Amsterdam with lots of glass. The roof can be opened in the Summertime and in Wintertime the central heating provides a warm and comfortable temperature.

This Frisian estate offers you 27 comfortable hotel rooms, including 22 luxury hotel rooms, two estate rooms, two suites, and one bridal suite with Jacuzzi. Our luxury hotel rooms are fully equipped, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, freshen up in the bathroom with bathtub and shower, check your e-mail on your own laptop via the wireless internet, or relax in the comfortable sitting area with LCD television. In the evening you can enjoy a lovely dinner in our restaurant with beautiful chandeliers. In our cozy bistro you can have your breakfast, lunch, or a meal from our Bistro menu. In the summer, all of this is possible on our sunny terrace.
