Fletcher Hotel Elzenduin is an international urban hotel in the dune dip of the old dutch fishing village Ter Heijde aan Zee. This hotel is a new and personal concept of chef/hotel-keeper Marco Westmaas. In 27 bedrooms Elzenduin mixes the very best of nature with the very best of culture. Loam walls embrace innovative design and contemporary basics are combined with furniture of Italian designer Piero Lissoni.

And: in Elzenduin you don’t have to hold a seashell to your ears in order to hear the sounds of the sea, for the sea lies within reach. Fletcher Hotel Elzenduin has drawn the beach atmosphere inside for the urban nomad and the modern business traveller, and holds the key to rugged scenery, an affordable, luxurious night’s rest and innovative food.

Fletcher Hotel Elzenduin has 27 bedrooms which have been well-appointed as an extension of the sea and beach sentiment. Here the leisure guest finds everything that he needs: good beds, original toiletries, a flat-screen TV, a luxury bathroom with a separate bath and (in a number of rooms) a view of the dunes. In the business rooms the need for ample working space has been taken into account. There are bigger desks, two arm-chairs and all multimedia connections necessary to suit the needs of the modern business traveller. The royal room is a room with an extra large bath plus balcony on the duneside of the hotel.

Restaurant Julias

Marco Westmaas cooked 17 courses in Bangkok, discovered easily digestible herbs in the Amazon region and learned everything there is to know about reponsibly building up a meal in Tokio. The inspiration that he got during his travels can be sensed in the restaurant and interior of Hotel Elzenduin. At a few tables's in Julia's guests can closely observe the actions in the open kitchen. Here food is prepared at a high level with ingredients that are flown in from all parts of the world, but fresh fish from just around the corner plays an important part as well.

Elzenduin Beach

Every spring a culinary hotspot called Elzenduin Beach arises on the beach. The restaurant on the beach is a port of call for colleagues in the leading hotel and catering trade and a popular enclave for people taking an interest in culinary tours de force who want to end their visit to the beach in style. The secret of its success lies in the innovative and internationally orientated dishes that Westmaas offers to his guests. On a simple butane gas cooker distinctly flavoured dishes are prepared such as tuna with fresh seaweed, cucumber, oxheart cabbage and kaiffier; sea devil, beetroot, sea lavender and beurre noisette; mackerel with tamarind yoghurt and apple; dashy bouillon with papaya and langoustine: raspberry, rose and Haribo sweets. Easily digestible as it should be at the seaside. And accompanied by the most impressive wine list along the European coast, including wines from Morocco and Israel.

In the cantine a new breakfast concept has been introduced. In the breakfast auto-buffet the most excellent loaves are displayed together with homemade products and delicacies such as Valrhona chocolate strands and fresh peanut butter. There is also the choice of an egg à la carte and a variety of different sorts of coffee are on offer. Price adult € 15.00, children up to 12 years € 7.50.
